The crowd-pleaser Gin and Tonic

Elephant Gin and Tonic with apples, thyme and elderflower tonic

It’s not all that likes gin as much as you do, so this G&T with Elephant Gin is a real good way to introduce people to G&T or to be served as a welcome drink when you are having people over for dinner – Like I did and it sure was a crowd-pleaser!

You can use all types of glassware, so if you only have wine glasses that’s completely fine. Do the following to make yourself a gin and tonic for the crowd.

• 4cl Elephant London Dry Gin
• 8cl Fever-Tree Elderflower
• Apple slice
• Thyme sprig
• One big ice cube or lots of smaller ones

I hope people likes it and please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Christmas Negroni

Christmas Negroni with cloves, orange and Opihr Gin

The classic negroni makes a great cocktail on a chilly christmas day and especially when it’s spiced up with cloves and the delicious and spicy Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin – This will warm you all the way down to your toes!

Negroni cocktail with cloves and Opihr Gin

To make a spicy christmas negroni start adding a row of cloves to an orange. Cut it so you get a nice slice of orange with all the cloves. Add all the following ingredients to a chilled lowball glass:

  • 1 part gin
  • 1 part Vermouth Rosso
  • 1 part Campari
  • 1 part orange juice (Yes – This is not really a part of the classic negroni)
  • Lots of ice

I use 50cl of each ingredient – You can either add more or less, but make sure it’s one part of each. Once added stir so it becomes extra cold and garnish it with the orange slice with all the cloves.
