The Classic Margarita is of course made with tequila but some gins works pretty well in this template. For this specific cocktail I used a gin where there botanicals are from the littoral zone which means that it’s has some small salt notes which I think matches perfect with the sour base.
How to make a Gin Margarita cocktail
4cl gin
2cl orange liqueur
2cl lime juice, freshly squeezed
1-2cl demerara sugar syrup
Pinch of salt
Garnish: lime wheel
Garnish: kosher salt (optional)
Shake everything with lots of ice and love, double strain into a glass rimmed with salt, garnish with a lime wheel and enjoy!
